Board Bio Briefs

Jeffrey R. Woodside, M.D., Chairman, and a Pickwick resident, brings more than 25 years of healthcare and executive experience to the HMC Board. Dr. Woodside retired as the executive vice president and chief medical officer for UT Medical Group, the University of Tennessee College of Medicine faculty group practice. Dr. Woodside received his undergraduate degree from Oregon State University, his medical degree from the University of Oregon Medical School, and his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. Dr. Woodside has supported the local community by serving on the board of the Friends of Pickwick Landing State Park, on the advisory board of the Hardin County Community and Healthcare Foundation and the Advisory Board of the Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse.

Kent Collier, Vice Chairman, is the owner of several McDonald's restaurants in West Tennessee.  He currently serves on the Tennessee River Museum and the Friends of Shiloh National Military Park boards.  Mr. Collier graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing.

Granville Conaway is a long-time resident of Hardin County and the owner of a local veterinary hospital.  He currently serves on the Hardin County Board of Health, as he has for several years. Dr. Conaway is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Martin with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine.

Gigi Wood Davis, D.O. graduated from Harding University in Searcy, AR, and Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, MO. Dr. Davis is board certified by The American Academy of Family Practice and owns a family medical practice in Savannah, TN. She has been on the medical staff at Hardin Medical Center since 1991.

Larry Hinton is a life-long resident of Hardin County.  He holds a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Tennessee Martin and is a paramedic with 15 years of experience, currently employed by Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Mr. Hinton was an elected member of the Hardin County Commission for 12 years.  During that time, he was an appointed advisor to the Hardin Medical Center Board.  Mr. Hinton has also served on the governing boards of several county organizations.

Chad Jones, born and raised in Hardin County, works with his family-owned business, Jones Motor Company with locations in Savannah, TN; Humboldt, TN; and Lexington, TN, serving drivers in the greater West TN area, North Mississippi, and North Alabama. Mr. Jones is a multi-generational automobile dealership owner with a focus on high-quality customer service, comprehensive brand selection, and after the sale relationships. He enjoys spending time with his family and attending church.

Paul Stodard of Savannah has been a Hardin County resident for the past 18 years after relocating to the area from North Mississippi. He is currently Vice President of Savannah Food Company, Inc. and spent his 35-year career in various roles within the food industry, including Sara Lee Corporation - Meats Division. Mr. Stodard is a graduate of Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science, Minor in General Agriculture.

Milton Allen grew up on a row crop and cattle farm near Bruce, Mississippi. He graduated from Delta State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing. For 43 years, he worked for Helena Chemical Co. in various positions before retiring as the Executive Vice President. Mr. Allen currently serves on the board of Horizon Ag in Memphis. He lives in Counce, TN. He is a member of First Baptist Counce and enjoys golf, hunting, and spending time with his family.
