Hardin Medical Center hires new Chief Nursing Officer



SAVANNAH, TN—October 29, 2018 – Hardin Medical Center (HMC) announces Wendy Trickey as the new Chief Nursing Officer. Trickey is a seasoned nursing professional with over 19 years of experience. She comes to HMC after serving at North Mississippi Medical Center (Tupelo and Iuka, MS locations) and Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in Florence, AL.

Trickey completed her undergraduate studies at North Mississippi Community College (NMCC) and the University of North Alabama (UNA) where she received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She completed a Master of Science in Nursing Leadership also from UNA.

Throughout her career as a nurse manager, Trickey has affected every realm of nurse leadership including nurse education, new nurse orientation, coordinating continuing education for nurses and patient satisfaction programs that included nursing staff performance and evaluation. Additionally, she has worked collaboratively with departments, physicians and nursing schools to find solutions to technical and administrative issues. Trickey has developed and implemented internal programs designed to continually improve patient outcomes.

Trickey was a recipient of a nursing scholarship and completed the nurse executive fellowship at NMCC. While at North Mississippi Medical Center, she received the Stars on Line Award awarded to employees who exhibit extraordinary dedication and exceed the expectations of their job. She also completed the Nurse Leadership Institute Program by the Mississippi Nurses Foundation. She holds a host of certifications, professional memberships and has held a number of key committee appointments throughout her career.
